Scientific Collaboration
Driving discovery in partnership with scientists from UK institutions
The Weizmann Institute of Science tackles global challenges through a spirit of open, international collaboration. Whether advancing climate science, improving human health, or shaping the technologies of tomorrow, the Institute works across borders to bring together world-class expertise and fresh perspectives. In the past five years alone, Weizmann researchers have launched more than 600 collaborations worldwide, creating new scientific connections, accelerating discovery, and strengthening global research networks.
Weizmann UK plays a central role in building and championing these collaborations across the UK. Our long-standing relationship with Chaim Weizmann’s alma mater, the University of Manchester, our flagship Making Connections Programme, and our work as a founding champion of the British Council’s BIRAX initiative all help to open doors for joint research, early-career exchange, and innovative partnerships.
By connecting leading scientists in the UK with their counterparts in Israel, Weizmann UK helps spark new ideas, drive scientific progress, and ensure that breakthroughs flow in both directions. Through these partnerships, we help strengthen the scientific landscape in both countries and support discoveries that have the potential to benefit the world.
