BINA - Bridge, Innovate, Nurture, Advance
Building on the success of YEDA, which brings Weizmann discoveries to market, BINA strengthens the Institute’s innovation ecosystem from within. Its goal is to ensure that every scientist and student, across all disciplines, has the skills and understanding needed to translate their discoveries into applications that can benefit humanity, reflecting the core mission of the Institute.
As a dedicated scientific unit, BINA works to identify, nurture and support very early-stage basic research with practical potential, helping it mature into projects that may generate intellectual property. It also runs outreach programmes to encourage translational thinking across campus and community development initiatives that equip researchers with the tools and training needed to move their ideas toward real-world application.
