We were delighted to host a tea this week at Weizmann UK for Alumni of the 2017 Dr Bessie Lawrence International Summer Science Institute.
Four participants were able to join us in London just before they headed off to begin their University careers in the sciences. It was a wonderful opportunity to hear the students recount their experiences at the Weizmann Institute over the summer.
They spent four weeks working alongside Weizmann Institute scientists on real research projects and also spent time off campus exploring Israel and meeting like minded students from all over the world.
We were also privileged to be joined by Anthony and Consuelo Brooke who are long term supporters of the Weizmann Institute. In particular they support British students to attend the ISSI by funding their scholarships.
