Our Quantum Future with Prof. Roee Ozeri

On 15 October, we were delighted to host Prof. Roee Ozeri at the Institute for Engineering & Technology, where he gave a fascinating presentation on 'Our Quantum Future'.

Roee, who is Vice President of the Weizmann Institute and conducts his research in the Department of Physics and Complex Systems, gave an extraordinary overview of the world of quantum computing. His presentation went from explaining the technology's first principles to outlining some of its potential applications, including its role in solving complex problems such as drug design and the part it will have to play in the future of cyber security.  

He spoke about his lab's success in building Israel's first quantum computer in 2022 and the major advantages this brings in terms of the Weizmann Institute operating at the very forefront of the field on the world's stage.
