Summer Science Schools
Excellence programmes for pre-university students and undergraduates
The Weizmann Institute runs two summer science schools for exceptional students from around the world. The Dr. Bessie Lawrence International Summer Science Institute (ISSI), which is currently under review, has for five decades offered students aged 18-20 a unique month-long opportunity to work as part of and active research group alongside leading scientists, conducting real scientific experiments, producing reports, and presenting findings before exploring the diverse ecosystems and archaeology of Israel through a week-long field school.
The Kupcinet-Getz International Science School welcomes outstanding undergraduate students for an 8-week intensive programme tailored to their strengths and interests, immersing them in cutting-edge research projects across mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and life sciences to help shape their scientific careers and reinforce their commitment to research.
