Education
Nurturing the next generation of scientists
At the heart of the Weizmann Institute’s mission is a commitment to preparing the scientific leaders of tomorrow. The Weizmann School of Science, the Institute’s academic arm, offers internationally recognised MSc and PhD programmes that train outstanding students to the highest standards. Graduates of the School go on to become researchers, innovators and educators across the globe.
Alongside this academic training, the Institute is dedicated to advancing science education in schools and wider society. Through its educational arm, the Davidson Institute of Science Education, Weizmann works to break down barriers and make science accessible to all. The Davidson Institute develops specialised programmes for students from all backgrounds and creates transformative learning experiences through initiatives such as the world-renowned Clore Garden of Science, the first outdoor science museum in the world.
Both the Weizmann School of Science and the Davidson Institute run programmes designed to inspire young people from school through to university level. These include internationally competitive summer science institutes and tournaments such as the Dr. Bessie Lawrence International Summer Science Institute (ISSI), the Kupcinet-Getz International Science School, and the International Physics Tournament, all of which give talented students a unique opportunity to pursue their passion for science and engage with the groundbreaking research carried out at the Weizmann Institute.
